About us
Bjørnar Skaar Haveland is an architect and social entrepreneur known for his unconventional practice. He is a key figure in the sauna and wellness movement in Norway and now in New York with as a partner in KOS floating sauna in Saratoga. He runs the community sauna association Laugaren in Bergen Norway, and directs the architecture practice Utopic that is involved in urban innovation processes and builds smaller architectural projects. He is also the General Secretary of Europan Norway. The central principle of his Bjørnar works to unite space, people, and community, using architecture as a tool for creating value and building thriving communities.
Bjørnar is educated at Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Michigan and Bergen School of Architecture. He has previously worked at Kaleidoscope Nordic and Fortunen arkitekter. He has a backround working with refugee camp urbanism in Lebanon and Algeria, has been a associated researcher at the CMI institute, a Raul Wallenberg fellow at University of Michigan and recived the DOGA Merket Nykommer award in 2024.

Ingeborg Katie Åtland is a Bergen-based architect, educated at the Bergen School of Architecture and FAU (São Paulo, Brasil) working within fields of architecture and interdisciplinary art practice encompassing scenography, crafts, projections, textiles, and text.
